Fakeba is a Senegalese multidisciplinary artist musically focussed on electropop and electronic culture. She also wrote music and lyrics for theater and television purposes. She plays bass guitar since childhood and piano since she is an adolescent. From 15 years old to 24 she played solo and sang with various national and international groups such as «Ben Zimet» a Yiddish singer and storyteller for his African tour in 2007, in 2014 she participated in the national tour of Carlou D in Senegal as a singer along with other artists. In 2015, after all these collaborations she decided to launch her solo career.
In January, 2016, Fakeba signed with the independent label Iberlive Records.
After having won the «2016 Uprising Artist» award offered by the music magazine «Actugm», Fakeba released her first EP «FABE» the same year in November. Her song «Musique» which was her second EP released in January 2017 also won the award for «best new music» again from «Actugm».
On April 22nd, 2017, «Fakeba» released her first studio album «Made in Africa» and started giving her first live performances as part of her first presentation of the great tour, «MADE EN AFRICA TOUR» that she intends to take to all the regions of her home country including more than 40 concerts in Senegal: Mbour, Thies, Kaolack, Ziguinchor, Dakar, Bambilor, Saint-Louis, etc., along with international performances.
On June 19th, 2017, Fakeba launched her television career in Senegal with 2STV, RTS and RDV.
On June 21st, 2017 she began her first international tour in Madrid, Spain during the «Festival Nuits du Ramadan».
Her tour «Made in Africa» was launched with three consecutive concerts on August 4th,5th and 6th. An unforgettable tour which will lead her to a next step at the end of the year.
